ABOUT YOUR INSTRUCTORS: Angelique Rodrigues Creative Producer, Course Co-Author and Presenter My interest in film was born from my love for acting. I discovered the art of screen acting whilst studying for my Performing Arts diploma and Film Studies course. It was only then when I realised how exciting it could be to be behind the camera as well as in front of it! As Creative Producer at ESA I manage the creative production process from start to finish; including idea creation, script writing, casting, locations and production. I am also involved with the on-set filming, as well as post production such as editing, sound and motion design. I can’t wait to share my knowledge and experience with other filmmakers and creatives, in order to help you create great content and reach your goals to success! Mitchell Brown Principle Filmmaker and Course Co-Author I have a passion for telling stories and creating my own films! As a Principle Film Maker at ESA I am a part of the creation process from start to finish. I develop content from ideation to scripting, and I also do the lighting and camera for many of our productions. What really excites me is the editing and post production and seeing all our work come together. I want to share the knowledge and skills I have developed through the years and am looking forward to sharing that with you, and helping you on your journey to create amazing, world class video and film. Dave Irving Head of Digital Marketing, and Course Co-Author My main goal in life is to help people have their voices heard. Through digital marketing I have found that I’m able to help people stand out amongst the competition and find a platform for their passion. I want to do the same for you. Since childhood, I have had an active interest in the arts. I first picked up a guitar at the tender age of 7, and have hardly put it down since. That flair for the creative has stuck with me ever since and plays a major role in almost every aspect of my personal and professional life. As an adult, I have worked as a video content creator over a span of 15 years – but the one thing all of my work has in common is a desire to be seen and heard by as many people as possible. It was through this necessity that I developed an interest in digital marketing. Although it might not seem as rock-and-roll as picking up a guitar and shredding to a room full of people, my skills as a digital marketing strategist have given me the ability to broaden my audience base far beyond what I previously thought possible – I sincerely hope I can help you do the same. Zah Ahmad Film Director, Course Co - Author Zaheer is an award winning Director, Writer and Producer at ESA Films where he has directed and produced content for some of the world’s leading brands such as Sony, Microsoft, Shell, HSBC and AMEX, General Electric, IBM, Colgate and Kelloggs. The map of how to make a feature film The idea is that you see the whole picture, so that at the end of the process you have an actual map of all the steps involved in making a feature film, which you can use as a model to guide you, and for you to keep and refer to forever. Why are we sharing our knowledge with you? Some people have asked us why are we sharing all our secrets on the web and helping other people do what we do. Well we don't see it like that. For us, we are all a community of film makers and we all have totally different stories to tell to different audiences who need us. So we have to help each other and support each other to create better movies. That way everyone benefits and we all feel supported by each other. That's the kind of world we want to live in. What’s unique about our feature film making course? Perhaps you have been to film school but found that it was full of teachers who had been academics all their lives and never made a feature film. Or perhaps you’ve taken online courses but again found they were made my professional trainers who had no real portfolio of work. Perhaps you have also noticed that the problem with most online courses is they never show all the messy details and the real life problems and how to deal with them so everything goes smoothly. They just show you the text book stuff, so you’re never fully prepared for the real world situations. Well this behind the scenes series of online video tutorials is made by industry experts and provides a real life working model that you can use to make your own feature film.
